The second installment of a special project brought to you by the Corporeal Mime Performing Arts School. A one-day-only special free event for both those who want to “experience” Corporeal Mime and those who want to “appreciate” it. To introduce more people to the French-originating stage art of “Corporal Mime,” which is less familiar in Japan, we will hold a “90-Minute Trial Lesson” where you can experience the basics of Corporal Mime, along with a “Semester-End Performance” where you can watch a live demonstration of Corporal Mime. Both are free to attend, so please take this opportunity to join us.

Free Trial Lesson
In this 90 minute class you will experience the basics of Corporeal Mime and acquire practical tools to help you express drama through your body. By studying the distinctive technique of Corporeal Mime you will gain physical awareness, expand your expressive vocabulary and learn to make more creative choices. The class will be taught by Kentaro Suyama and Tania Coke, directors of tarinainanika theatre company. Anyone interested in physical expression is welcome. No prior experience necessary.
End of Term
Performance
A short performance by our full-time course students, featuring solos, duets, and ensemble pieces composed through creative lessons. As part of our preparations for the end-of-year performance in July 2026, this term we focused on “material creation.” Starting from scratch—with no predetermined theme or written story—each student shaped their ideas into form, relying on the knowledge and techniques learned in lessons. This time, we present not the finished works, but the individual performance materials created along the way. Please enjoy this glimpse into the unique creative process of Corporeal Mime.
